Mackenzie High Country Farms is hiring a Farm Hand to join our Timaru team.
About Mackenzie High Country Farms
Mackenzie High Country Farms is a family-owned farming and horticulture business based in Timaru. Founded in 2018, we run 2 locations in Canterbury and employ a tight team that values doing the work well over scale.
About the role
You will do the daily work that keeps the farm running: milking, feeding out, shifting stock and breaks, fencing repairs, tractor work and general maintenance. Rosters typically run 11 days on, 3 off through calving and settle back over winter. Accommodation is often available on farm.
What you will bring
Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather. A full driver licence; quad or tractor experience an asset. Reliable, early-rising and good with animals. Farm experience is welcome but a good attitude and willingness to learn count for more.

Required Qualifications
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Willingness to work early mornings and roster weekends during calving or harvest
- Basic English for safety briefings
- Good with animals and careful with machinery
